Job summary

Felton Institute in Santa Rosa is seeking a Peer Support Specialist for a temporary two-month assignment at the Bridge Housing site. The role focuses on supporting individuals with serious mental illness to pursue recovery and stability, within a multidisciplinary team and on-site setting.

The position requires lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges, a high school diploma (AA preferred), and strong communication skills in Spanish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AA degree preferred.
• 1 year of therapeutic intervention or related experience preferred.
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals living with serious mental illness toward recovery and stability.
• Provide care, case management, mental health and substance use recovery services, and crisis intervention within a multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to confidentiality laws and maintain detailed observation records for data entry.
• Perform intake, assessments, and help clients develop service plans.
• Engage with participants across criminal justice, shelter, hospital, and outpatient services.
