Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join the Dual Diagnosis ACTT team in Asheville, NC. The role focuses on using recovery experience to empower clients and support them on their recovery journey.

You will work on a multidisciplinary team, maintain timely documentation, coordinate transportation, and participate in crisis planning as needed. A NC Peer Support certification and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to use lived recovery experience to build trust with clients.
• Experience documenting medical records and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to clients as part of the ACTT team.
• Maintain accurate client documentation including medical records, ROI’s, CCP’s, and discharge/aftercare planning.
• Document daily team meetings and coordinate transportation to access community resources.
• Conduct outreach and coordinate care with referral sources.
• Support crisis planning and response, including emergency assessments, hospital diversion, and commitment procedures as needed.
