Job summary

Daymark Recovery Services in Boone, NC seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our ACT team and provide individualized community-based support, crisis assistance, housing and education/employment help, and wellness planning to individuals in recovery, promoting self-determination.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will document services, participate in daily team meetings, and engage in ongoing training to maintain high-quality care for people facing mental health or substance

Qualifications

Peer Support paraprofessional role requires life experience with mental illness or addiction and recovery.
High school diploma or GED required; self-identify as consumer with psychiatric/addiction disability.
Two years to complete required training if part-time (<10 hours/week).
Must demonstrate at least one full year without crisis, relapse, or inpatient treatment.

Responsibilities

Participates with ACT team in assessments, crisis consultations, and planning to support consumer goals.
Provides ongoing assertive outreach and supportive services addressing functional needs and independence.
Participates in daily team meetings and maintains proper documentation.
