Job summary

The Peer Company in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Peer Support Specialist for the Center for Addictions (CATT). The role supports individuals in recovery, building person-directed plans and connecting them with community resources.

The CATT drop-in center operates weekdays, with a 40-hour work week and a 1.0 FTE schedule. Qualifications include a High School diploma, lived experience in recovery, trauma-informed care understanding, and Oregon driver license with vehicle access.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background Check will be conducted per policy; criminal record not necessarily exclusionary.
Pre-Hire drug screenings required for all potential employees.
MVR checks for driving positions; meet driving standards.
Experiences include live-experience recovery with SUD/mental health and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

Provides 1:1 peer support per program values.
Collaborates with individuals to create PDPs for recovery journeys.
Participates in regular peer support supervision.
Collaborates with other providers to support PDPs and recovery journeys.
Attends meetings to communicate program objectives and advocate for participants.
