The position requires a Peer Support certification or eligibility, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid drivers license. Training on crisis response and background checks are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist status required or eligible for certification.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional status required and Peer Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to provide advice and support per treatment plan.
• Assist in peer support groups with clients on a regular basis.
• Support clients in daily decision making and problem resolution.
• Assist clients by locating resources and encouraging follow-through with resolutions.
• Advocate for clients and participate in community groups to support recovery.
