North Suffolk Community Services is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to support recovery-oriented skills, daily living, and community integration. The role emphasizes outreach, engagement, and tailored wellness planning for individuals served.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and lived experience with mental health recovery. Some evenings and weekends may be required; driving may be needed for off-site events.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health recovery required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Strong interpersonal and outreach skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support person served in recovery-oriented skills and daily living.
• Engage individuals in services through in-person and telehealth outreach.
• Assist treatment team to develop action or wellness plans.
• Coach individuals reviewing goals and objectives regularly.
• All other duties as assigned.
