Job summary

BrightView Health in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Counselor to join our treatment team. You will deliver addiction therapy, conduct group sessions, and participate in intake assessments to guide individualized care.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical setting. Prior harm-reduction experience is a plus, with a focus on quality, compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a relevant field.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree.
• Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document all treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
• Follow regulatory and company compliance requirements.
