Job summary

CODA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Counselor in Portland, OR to provide introductory counseling, behavior management and case management within alcohol and drug treatment programs. You will develop recovery tools and build skills with patients, often within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will carry a caseload, plan interventions, document care, and support housing or employment tasks as needed, while adhering to CODA’s standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Two year degree or significant coursework toward a two year degree in addictions-related field.
• Experience in clinical teamwork and patient care.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Carry caseload of patients and engage in treatment planning.
• Plan and implement patient interventions.
• Provide individual / group counseling and skills training as outlined in service plan.
• Monitor and track patient progress; conduct outreach to maintain engagement.
• Coordinate services such as housing, employment, advocacy and resource acquisition.
• Document service delivery accurately and reflect care in records.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain ethical standards.
• May administer UA and oversee medication administration as needed.
• Travel to trainings and meetings as required.
