North Suffolk Community Services Inc in Chelsea, MA is seeking a Recovery Coach for the Renew Her/Re-entry program. The role supports individuals transitioning from treatment or incarceration back into their communities, focusing on sustainable recovery and self-sufficiency.

This full-time position requires grounding in peer-supported recovery, with 36 hours per week and occasional nights/weekends. You will coach recoverees, help develop action and wellness plans, and coordinate with probation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in non-behavioral health field or HS diploma/GED required.
• Experience in addiction treatment, recovery coaching, or related human services.
• Two years of acknowledged continuous sobriety required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and/or coach recoverees in recovery-oriented skills and community integration.
• Assist and coach clients with action plans or personal wellness plans and review goals regularly.
• Coordinate with collateral contacts such as Probation Officers, therapists, and sponsors.
• Develop and enhance peer-driven educational services.
• Maintain program upkeep and documentation of client progress.
• Work a flexible schedule to meet client needs and program requirements.
• Co-facilitate groups to support stability and understanding of relapse and mental health.

Recovery Coach - Reentry Program (Her)

Salary Range: $56,340.00 To $67,272.00 Annually

North Suffolk is looking for aRecovery Coachto join our Renew Her/Re-entry team! Individuals in this position must be grounded in peer-assisted recovery. Because of his/her life experience with substance use, the recovery coach provides expertise that clinical training cannot replicate. Recovery coaches specializing in re-entry services play a critical role in supporting individuals as they transition from substance use treatment or incarceration back into their communities. These professionals provide guidance, support and motivation to help recoverees navigate the challenges of reintegration, focusing on sustainable recovery, healing, and self-sufficiency.

This is a full-time position; 36 hours per week with some nights and weekends required.

What you’ll do:

• Supervise and/or coach recoverees, based on their needs, in recovery-oriented skills, activities of daily living, socialization, and community integration.
• Implement, teach, assist and/or coach persons served with their individual action plan or recoverees who have developed their own wellness plan to review their goals and objectives on a consistent basis.
• Interface with all collateral contacts working with the persons served or recoverees coached. (I.e. Probation Officers, individual therapists, and self-help sponsors).
• Develop and enhance peer driven educational services.
• Participate in upkeep and maintenance of program.
• Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of persons served and program.
• Document client progress to maintain a permanent record of client activity according to established methods and procedures.
• Participate in the provision of services to persons served by co-facilitating groups (in conjunction with professional staff) to provide support for increased stability in their lives through recovery and a better understanding of their symptoms of relapse as well as symptoms of mental illness.

What you’ll need:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a field other than behavioral health sciences or have a high school degree/GED required.
• Experience:
  • Knowledge and experience of the addiction treatment service system, recovery coaching and other related human services
  • Must have work experience with adults diagnosed with substance use and/or dependency.
• Skills:
  • Certified Addictions Recovery Coach (CARC) certification preferred.
  • Two years of acknowledged continuous sobriety required
