Job summary

Valle del Sol, Inc. is seeking a Peer & Recovery Support Specialist to provide recovery-focused, person-centered services. You will use lived experience to support individuals in behavioral health treatment, work with clinical teams to promote engagement, and facilitate peer-led groups and education.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed, culturally responsive care and collaboration across program areas. Responsibilities include outreach, advocacy, documentation, and participation in supervision

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience with behavioral health and/or recovery.
• Must be in stable recovery and/or wellness for a minimum of one year.
• Able to share lived experience professionally to support others.
• 0–2 years of peer support or related community services experience.
• 2–5 years of peer support or related experience.
• 5+ years of applied peer support, recovery, or community services experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and recovery coaching using lived experience to empower clients.
• Facilitate peer-led groups and educational sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency standards.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to promote engagement and retention in services.
• Support continuity of care and smooth transitions between services.
• Engage in outreach and engagement to reduce barriers to care.
