Job summary

SpectraCare seeks a Certified Peer Specialist at the Crisis Center in Dothan, AL. The CPS supports individuals using their own recovery experience, teaches coping skills, and helps develop self-directed recovery plans.

The role involves travel with the Mobile Crisis Team, documenting progress, and collaborating with the treatment team to advance wellness goals. The CPS works to reduce stigma, promote empowerment, and build community supports, requiring strong communication and ethical practice

Qualifications

• CPS role requires lived recovery experience and peer support knowledge.
• Ability to teach recovery strategies and facilitate groups.
• Willingness to travel for Mobile Crisis Team assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-based peer support and facilitate Recovery Dialogs.
• Assist individuals in articulating personal recovery goals and wellness plans.
• Support treatment teams and participate in crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and timely records.
• Travel to community locations for mobile crisis outreach when required.
