Job summary

SpectraCare in Dothan, AL seeks a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support recovery with lived experience, education, and self-directed goals. Travel with the Mobile Crisis Team may be required.

The CPS builds empowerment, facilitates recovery goals, and helps develop coping and self-advocacy skills; duties include documenting, attending team meetings, and coordinating with treatment providers. Must have High School Diploma or GED and complete ADMH CPS training; willingness to travel and work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be in recovery and have personally experienced mental illness.
• Must complete ADMH Certified Peer Specialist training and exam on hire.
• Valid Driver's License with good MVR.

Responsibilities

• Teach and model recovery values and self-help.
• Support empowerment and self-advocacy.
• Facilitate Recovery Dialogs and wellness plans.
• Attend treatment team meetings and document promptly.
• Travel with Mobile Crisis Team when needed.
