Job summary

The Well of Restoration is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide individualized peer support, recovery coaching, and wellness services across youth, adults, families, and caregivers in the Atlanta area. You will facilitate groups, deliver psychoeducation, and promote resilience within a recovery-oriented framework.

Candidates should have a relevant degree, Georgia peer credential, and proven ability to engage diverse populations with empathy while documenting outcomes and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Current Georgia-certified Peer Specialist credential.
• Experience with youth, adults, families in behavioral health or recovery settings.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practices.
• Strong communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Ability to engage diverse populations with empathy and professionalism.
• Availability for weekday daytime and weekend service opportunities.
• Collaborate with licensed clinicians and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized peer support, recovery coaching, and wellness services within scope.
• Facilitate peer support groups, psychoeducational activities, and wellness workshops.
• Support individuals with emotional challenges, trauma-related stress, and recovery needs.
• Promote healthy coping, emotional regulation, and personal recovery goals.
• Support family engagement and connection to community resources.
• Assist participants in identifying strengths and developing wellness strategies.
• Collaborate with clinicians and community partners to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of encounters, participation, and outcomes.
• Uphold confidentiality and trauma-informed peer support practices.
• Travel to partner locations throughout Metro Atlanta as needed.
