Job summary

NorthCare seeks a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to assist clients in their recovery journeys, coordinating physical and behavioral health care, addiction treatment, and social services. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, strengths-based care in community settings and requires obtaining ODMHSAS certifications within specified timelines.

Responsibilities include advocacy, group facilitation, health promotion, and documentation, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must meet ODMHSAS criteria for Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
• Must obtain ODMHSAS Peer Recovery Support Specialist within 60 days of hire.
• Must obtain ODMHSAS Wellness Coach Certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated services that are welcoming, engaging, and accessible.
• Advocate for clients within NorthCare and the community to support recovery and independent living.
• Facilitate peer support groups such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
• Assist with obtaining and adhering to medications and prescribed treatments.
• Maintain clinical records and ensure documentation deadlines are met.
