Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Peer Specialist training program.
• Missouri-specific application and certification steps including required training and exams.

Responsibilities

• Share lived recovery experience to inspire hope and support recovery goals.
• Facilitate individual and group peer support with a rehab and recovery focus.
• Assist individuals with treatment/recovery plan goals and connect to community resources.
• Document services in accordance with state regulations and CARF standards.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate referrals.
