Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO, seeks a part-time Certified Peer Specialist to support clients in developing recovery skills and accessing community resources. Qualifications

• Must self-identify as a present or former client of mental health and/or substance use services.
• One year of direct experience with the mental health system as a primary consumer of services.
• Complete a state-approved Certified Peer Support training program within six months of employment.
• Missouri-specific: refer to Missouri Peer Specialist requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with individuals to develop personalized treatment plans addressing specific needs.
• Maintain regular communication with referral sources and guardians about progress and transition planning.
• Participate in meetings to ensure continuity of care for individuals.
• Schedule treatment appointments and provide transportation to Recovery Support Services and community-based services.
• Accompany clients to appointments when permitted and represent the agency professionally.
