The ideal candidate will facilitate peer support, assist with treatment planning, and connect clients to community resources. A strong commitment to recovery and a desire to promote resilience in others is essential.

Qualifications

• Self-identify as a present or former recipient of mental health or substance use services.
• Ability to maintain healthy professional boundaries while sharing lived experience.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Share lived recovery experience to inspire hope.
• Facilitate individual and group peer support services.
• Assist individuals in developing goals outlined in their recovery plans.

Skills

Effective communication

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a state-approved Peer Specialist training
