Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, Missouri seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to support individuals with behavioral health and substance use disorders. You will share recovery experiences to inspire clients and help them explore personal recovery practices.

As part of the Recovery Services team, you’ll assist with treatment planning, connect clients to community resources, and support goal setting. A High School Diploma/GED, a valid Missouri driver’s license, and Missouri Peer Specialist

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Missouri driver’s license and favorable driving record.
• Certified Missouri Peer Specialist certification required.

Responsibilities

• Share lived recovery experiences to inspire clients and support their recovery journeys.
• Describe personal recovery practices and help clients identify recovery strategies that work for them.
• Participate in treatment planning with the team and the client.
• Engage clients with collaborative, recovery-oriented relationships and validate their experiences.
• Develop, maintain, and connect clients to community resources and services.
