Job summary

Centerstone in Indiana is seeking a full-time clinician to provide evidence-based individual and group counseling in office and community settings. You will help clients discuss substance use and its effects on health and daily functioning, and assist in setting recovery goals and healthy coping skills.

Responsibilities include facilitating resource use, developing treatment plans, participating in team meetings, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, four-year college or university. Experience equivalency considered.
• Experience in behavioral health, criminal justice, or social services helpful.
• Personal recovery experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family counseling.
• Facilitate use of family, social and community resources; advocate with external resources.
• Develop, implement and monitor treatment/discharge plans.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to review goals and progress.
• Complete assessments (ANSA/CANS) and reassessments on time.
• Complete clinical documentation within two business days of service.

Engage with clients so that they may more freely discuss substance use and its effects on mental and physical health and daily functioning. Aid clients in setting their own goals for treatment, as well as plans to reduce or abstain from substance use and to learn healthy coping skills. Build rapport and a therapeutic relationship with clients to introduce them to all the elements of a healthy recovery.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitates client’s use of family, social and community resources, acting as an advocate with external resources and agencies and self-help programs.Provide individual, group and family counseling covering psycho-educational, addictions, daily living skills and activity therapy.Develop, implement and monitor clinically and fiscally responsible individualized treatment/discharge plans.Participate in treatment team meetings for the purpose of summarizing, reviewing and developing client’s treatment goals, progress and use of services.Maintain necessary communications and reporting with referral sources and other involved parties as approved by the client; provides testimony in court in regard to client’s behavior and condition when requested.Meet billable hour productivity standards.Complete ANSA/CANS assessments and reassessments on time.Complete clinical documentation within two business days of the service provided.Complete treatment plans and other clinical service authorizations in a timely manner.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESQUALIFICATIONSEducation LevelBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, preferably in psychology, social work, or a related field. Experience equivalency considered in place of education requirement.Years of ExperienceExperience working and/or volunteering within the behavioral health, criminal justice, or social services field can be considered in place of degree.
