Job summary

Pinelands of Medford in Medford, NJ is seeking a Recovery Coach to help clients build daily routines and long-term recovery. You'll meet with clients soon after admission to craft an Individual Recovery Plan and support them through the program schedule.

You will conduct regular meetings, assist with daily living tasks in housing, lead group activities, and collaborate with clinical staff to prepare a discharge plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• One year of experience working within a treatment program or recovery community.
• 12 Step knowledge preferred.
• Recovery Coach training preferred

Responsibilities

• Meets with client within 48 hours of admission to complete an Individual Recovery Plan.
• Meets with client at minimum twice a week to review Recovery Plan progress.
• Orients the client to the facility, program and its schedule.
• Assists individuals in recovery planning through completion or planning of concrete tasks (get a Big Book/Basic text, refer to Big Book study, identify local meetings to attend, connect with someone in their area if possible, etc.).
• Assists clients with activities of daily living within housing program (chores, free time activities, etc.).
• Works with client to develop a daily routine focusing on behaviors needed for long term recovery.
• Willingly shares personal recovery experiences, demonstrates and models effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Facilitates daily group activities as assigned, including morning community meeting, wrap up meeting, 12 step study group and other activities as assigned.
• Participates in both group and individual supervision with Clinical staff.
• Works with client to develop a discharge plan inclusive of areas addressed in the Individual Recovery Plan.
• Follows up with client post-discharge to check on progress and offer support as needed.

Schedule:4 days a week 3pm-11pm, Saturday or Sunday 11am-7pm
