Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Lynn, MA is seeking a dedicated Recovery Coach to support members in peer recovery centers. This nonclinical role draws on personal experience with addiction to offer coaching and connect clients with community resources.

The position is full-time, 1st shift days, with benefits including health/dental/vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) and discounts. Requirements include a high school diploma, relevant certification, and lived experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Training and certification appropriate to the role; recovery coach or certified peer specialist is preferred.
• Must have lived experience with mental health, substance use conditions, or family supporting a family member with behavioral health challenges; and be in recovery.
• Prefer current or former recipient of behavioral health services.
• Strongly prefer competence in serving culturally diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Non-clinical support services within the Peer Recovery Support Centers to support members within the center.
• Providing this support from their own lived experience with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Providing health and wellness coaching to patients and assist them in identifying and utilizing health and wellness supports in the community.
