Job summary

Community Support Services, located in Akron, OH, seeks a Client Access Specialist to provide recovery-focused case management for newly referred clients during an initial 90 days and beyond. You will coordinate evaluations, plan development, and access to housing and benefits while advocating for client needs.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention, and helping clients build community supports and skills for independence.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in Human Services or related field.
• LSW licensure preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide time-limited and ongoing recovery-focused case management for newly opened clients.
• Coordinate evaluations (psychiatric, medical, vocational) and assessments.
• Develop and update treatment plans and explain services, intensity and duration.
• Assist clients with benefits and housing program applications.
• Support transition from CAS to regional CRS as appropriate.
• Assist with AOT-related court hearings and program requirements.
• Engage clients to develop coping skills and social support networks.
• Maintain documentation and generate reports per agency standards.
