Job summary

Pioneer Human Services in Washington state seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to advocate for clients and support recovery, using personal lived experience to encourage hope and accountability.

You will work under supervision of a mental health professional, helping clients access healthcare, housing, and employment services while promoting recovery activities and collaborating with staff. 18+ and with required credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Provide proof of Certified Peer Counselor Certification.
• Health Care Authority requires self-identification as a person with lived experience or be a parent/guardian of someone with lived experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients to obtain community services including healthcare, social services, housing, employment training.
• Supports clients’ pursuit of recovery activities.
• Advocates for client needs and acts as a role model for clients.
• Maintains boundaries and reports incidents to supervisor as required.
• Assist with intakes and discharges when applicable.
