The Minnehaha County Register of Deeds Office invites applications for a Records Technician to join our team! Our Records Technicians provide exceptional assistance to the public both in person and over the phone, conducting initial reviews and accepting documents, issuing a wide range of records, scanning and microfilming documents as required by law, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and conducting courtesy document searches. Our office works from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. We have a great team of professionals who are passionate about the critical services we perform for our community. SALARY: $23.64 - $26.07/Hourly

High school diploma or GED and one year work experience general clerical office work. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Must successfully complete pre-employment background process. Knowledge of and skills in using technology and related software systems. Basic proofreading skills. Attention to detail and ability to be precise. Ability to follow inter-office guidelines and procedures as well as various recording requirements established by law. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, other agencies, and the public. Present a professional appearance and communicate with others in a respectful and approachable way.
