Job summary

Apple Federal Credit Union is seeking a Research and Records Generalist to handle mail, deposits, scanning, and record retention at our Fairfax HQ. You will process deposits, manage imaging records, and assist in nightly settlements to ensure timely Fed Reserve transmissions.

The role requires at least a year in a financial setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. This on-site position offers full-time hours in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum twelve months financial institution or cash handling experience helpful.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance deposits and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and sit for long periods; some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and sort incoming interdepartmental mail and escort vendors at HQ.
• Process mailed member deposits, loan payments, and remote deposits; balance entries.
• Prepare records for secured storage and coordinate transmittals to the Fed Reserve.
• Input records into the corporate imaging system and classify results.
• Assist in nightly settlement, labeling, shipping and cold storage recordkeeping.
• Support mailroom operations and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act.
