Under general supervision, the Records Center Assistant II provides support for the County's centralized Records Center storage facility. Works with County Departments in coordinating the receiving, shipping, storage, retention and disposal of County records.
Records Center Assistant I is the entry level class in the records center support series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents perform the more routine duties while learning County policies and procedures and becoming familiar with County warehousing practices. As experience is gained, there is greater independence of action within established guidelines.
Records Center Assistant II is the fully experienced journey level class in this series capable of performing the full range of records center tasks.
NOTE: Limited Term Employees are assigned to assignments not to exceed three years. They receive medical and dental benefits, similar to regular employees, and a defined contribution retirement plan. The eligible list generated from this recruitment may be used to fill future extra-help, term, unclassified, and regular classified vacancies.
