Job summary

The Snohomish County Auditor's Office is seeking a Recording Supervisor to lead a team in the Recording Division, handling land records and customer service with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

This role oversees staff, training, procedures, and revenue reconciliation, and acts as the division's system expert for the recording software while coordinating with IT and vendors to ensure reliable operations and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years professional work experience including two (2) years of senior or supervisory level experience.
• An Associate’s degree in public administration, finance, business, records management, or related field; OR equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Direct work experience in legal document recording preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, plans and organizes the work of subordinates; handles day-to-day personnel tasks; processes payroll and approves leave requests.
• Participates in the hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline of division employees; conducts performance evaluations and provides counsel to manager.
• Develops and updates procedures, policies and process manuals.
• Serves as primary recording system expert for the division; coordinates employee training; administers user rights and client accounts; monitors vendor and IT support.
