The Office of the Queens County District Attorney (QDA) is seeking a Record Room Assistant to provide support services for the Record Room, including scanning and copying documents, and transporting files between QDA locations and external sites across the five boroughs.
You will pick up and deliver case files, perform clerical tasks (data entry, filing, emailing), and navigate to delivery sites using directories and maps, while preserving confidentiality.
The Office of the Queens County District Attorney (QDA) is currently seeking an Assistant to provide a variety of support services for our Record Room including scanning and copying documents, and transporting files and other records between the District Attorney's multiple office locations, as well as to external locations, throughout the five boroughs.
The Record Room Assistant will perform the following job functions including, but not limited to:
High school graduation (or its educational equivalent) or a satisfactory equivalent in work experience required.
Must be a self-motivated and responsible individual with the ability to successfully navigate to locations across the five boroughs by vehicle and/or public transportation. The ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. or more and to assist in moving items over 50 lbs. with assistance is required. Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software, good oral communication skills is preferred. The position may require moving between locations and wait for extended periods in varying weather conditions. A valid NYS driver license and clean driving record are required for assignments requiring the operation of a QDA vehicle.
Salary: $42,000
The Record Room Assistant will generally work Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM, but in certain instances, schedule changes and/or overtime hours may be required in order to complete required tasks.
