Job summary

Ever, based in San Francisco and expanding nationwide, seeks an on-site Reconditioning Porter (Operations Specialist) in Irvine, CA. You will manage vehicle queues, optimize lot space, and track inventory while ensuring quality and compliance.

The role requires driving vehicles between locations, performing physical tasks, and maintaining accurate records. This full-time position offers competitive pay ($22–$25 per hour), health insurance options, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle logistics, fleet operations, auto reconditioning, or a related field.
• Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure and vehicle readiness standards (preferred)
• Comfortable with lot operations software, inventory tools, or mobile-based tracking systems
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify condition issues, documentation gaps, and inventory discrepancies
• Physical and spatial awareness to safely handle vehicles and manage lot space effectively in a fast-moving environment
• Clear, timely communication with the ability to surface issues early and keep relevant stakeholders informed

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized vehicle queues across WIP and finished goods stages.
• Optimize lot space utilization to support throughput and operational efficiency.
• Track unit status and location accurately to ensure proper inventory flow.
• Keep inventory at sellable quality standards through regular inspections.
• Identify units needing reconditioning or escalation and communicate accordingly.
• Maintain key organization systems to ensure accurate key-to-unit accountability at all times.
• Conduct regular lot audits to verify unit count, placement, and condition accuracy.
• Ensure lot is organized and vehicles are staged in designated areas per operational standards.
• Reconcile physical inventory against system records and escalation discrepancies promptly.
• Manage inbound and outbound unit flow with carrier and shipping partners.
• Execute vehicle ingress and egress, verify condition, document accurately, and resolve discrepancies.
• Driving vehicles between lots, showrooms, third party servicers, and chargers.
• Ensure handoffs meet compliance and quality standards at every touchpoint.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical work in a vehicle-service environment, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in and around vehicles for extended periods.
• Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate vehicles, including driving vehicles as needed in connection with reconditioning, testing, movement, and delivery.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; ability to move heavier items with appropriate equipment or assistance
