Job summary

Ruge's Auto Group in Rhinebeck, NY operates a dedicated 6-bay reconditioning center for pre-owned vehicles at our Ford and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram stores. We seek an organized Internal Service Advisor to run recon, act as the liaison between technicians and used-car managers, and drive inspections, repairs and fast deployment to the front line.

The role requires coordinating multiple vehicles, building estimates, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely, quality completion of work with ongoing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a service advisor, shop foreman, recon coordinator or technician in a dealership.
• Solid mechanical knowledge to read inspections and assess fair repairs.
• Strong organization and follow-through to juggle many vehicles.
• Comfortable on a computer and with email.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Clear communicator who works well with technicians and managers.

Responsibilities

• Open internal repair orders in CDK for each pre-owned vehicle entering recon.
• Review technician inspections and build reconditioning estimates.
• Get repair approvals from the Ford and CDJR used car managers.
• Dispatch work to technicians and keep all 6 bays busy.
• Order parts and coordinate with parts departments.
• Schedule and track outside work (detail, body, glass, tires, PDR).
• Check for and complete open recalls.
• Track vehicle status and time in recon; provide daily updates to managers.
• Quality-check finished vehicles before they go to the front line.
• Close repair orders accurately and on time.
