Carvana in Indianapolis is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in the Inspection Center. You will mentor leaders, drive performance, and ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives while guiding a team of 5 leads and up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing setting.

This supervisory role requires strong coaching, strategic planning, and the ability to execute plans that align with Carvana values.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Excellent English reading, writing and speaking.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in the development and execution of strategic plans aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that supports positive communication and teamwork.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Ensure adequate production capacity levels for each line and assist with planning.
• Comply with health and safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce and engage the team regarding quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
