Vanguard Auto Group is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems across our Austin-area dealerships. You will perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics, while communicating clearly with customers about needed services and costs.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and ongoing training to stay current with vehicle technology and factory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary automotive training is a plus.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician, especially in electrical/electronic systems.
• ASE certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, sensors, and control modules.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments, such as brake and suspension work, wheel alignments, and fluid changes.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot automotive issues accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed.
• Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates for services.
