Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist in Camden, NJ. You will ensure HUD and LIHTC compliance while guiding residents through leasing and certification processes.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organization, and experience in property management compliance; you will collaborate with residents, property managers, and compliance teams to maintain accurate documentation and deliver a great resident experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing (100+ units).
• Experience with HUD Section 8 and/or LIHTC compliance preferred.
• Strong data entry and administrative accuracy.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process applications, recertifications, lease agreements, and renewals in compliance with HUD and LIHTC guidelines.
• Guide residents and applicants through the affordable housing qualification and leasing process.
• Maintain accurate files and complete compliance reporting and documentation.

About the Role

As an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you will ensure your community meets all HUD, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and affordable housing compliance regulations while supporting residents through the leasing and certification process.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in property management compliance. You’ll work closely with residents, property managers, and compliance teams to maintain accurate documentation and deliver a strong resident experience.

Requirements
