Chicago Behavioral Hospital in Des Plaines, Illinois, invites applications for a Receptionist on a PRN basis with a Saturday 8a‑4p schedule. The role includes greeting visitors, answering a multi‑line switchboard, handling deliveries, and providing clerical support to our compassionate team.

As part of a 150‑bed inpatient facility, you will contribute to patient comfort and safety while supporting a close‑knit work environment that values dedication and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience in a hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all visitors.
• Answer the switchboard and route calls.
• Document deliveries, process mail, and provide clerical support.

We are looking for motivated, dependable, and dedicated caregivers to provide exceptional direct care and support to our patients. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail and providing clerical support as requested.

Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For

• Education & Licensure: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.


• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment preferred.

Compensation

This is a PRN role and the compensation for this role is $19.00 an hour. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Receptionist!
