Job summary

Banner Rehab Hospital Tucson, in partnership with Select Medical, is hiring a Receptionist for a Per Diem/PRN schedule. Hours are 4:00 PM–7:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with compensation at $19.50 per hour.

This inpatient rehabilitation setting cares for patients with brain and spinal injuries, neurological and orthopedic conditions. The role supports admissions and visitors, handles calls, and ensures secure entry to the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous receptionist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen visitors to the appropriate location and ensure security; verify sign-in and visitor passes.
• Provide daily coverage for the admissions coordinator during breaks and other times; connect/transfer calls and perform overhead paging.
• Notify admissions coordinator when a facility tour is requested.
• Obtain wheelchairs for patients.
• Report any unusual lobby/parking area behavior to facilities.
• Notify nursing when gifts for patients arrive for timely delivery.
• Postmark outgoing mail and distribute incoming mail.
• Log all incoming job applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for screening visitors to the appropriate location ensuring security to the building. Ensures/informs all visitors sign in and wear a visitor’s pass when entering the building supplied by the receptionist.
• Responsible for daily coverage for the admissions coordinator during breaks and various times when required. Connects/transfers calls to the appropriate party and performs overhead paging.
• Notifies the admissions coordinator when a customer requests a tour of our facility.
• Responsible for obtaining wheelchairs for patients.
• Responsible for reporting to facilities any unusual behavior in the lobby/parking area.
• Notifies nursing when gifts for patients arrive in order for the gifts to be delivered to patients timely.
• Postmarks all outgoing mail and distributes all incoming mail.
• Logs all incoming job applications.
