Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Per Diem schedule. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist and assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.

Eligible candidates must hold current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA and be certified in BLS, with a preference for those having one or more years of experience in rehabilitation settings.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care.
• Communicate with the supervising PT regarding scheduled patients and any needs for assessment or modification of treatment plans.
• Participate in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Perform other professional duties within the scope of practice.
