Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Houston seeks a friendly Receptionist to greet visitors, answer calls on the main switchboard, and respond to routine questions in a professional, timely manner.

The role involves receiving hospital visitors, directing them, and managing a multi-line telephone system, while promoting a positive guest experience and smooth daily operations. Previous switchboard experience in healthcare preferred, CPR/Handle With Care certifications optional during orientation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience operating multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment, and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
• Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Receive hospital visitors, ascertain needs and direct visitors appropriately; ensure that all visitors sign in.
• Answer and disseminate incoming calls on the switchboard in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Utilize the paging system to make announcements as required.
• Promote a positive working environment and guest relations.
