Job summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital, LLC seeks a Float Receptionist to cover front office roles across rural clinics and metro Oklahoma City. You will travel with mileage reimbursement, greet patients, verify insurance, schedule visits in EPIC, and maintain a welcoming lobby.

This role offers exposure to multiple physician teams and opportunities to grow in a heart-centered care environment. Requirements include a high school diploma and preferred experience in medical front office operations and multi-line

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of medical front office experience preferred.
• Experience with a multi-line phone system preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float to clinic locations to fill in front office positions including Operator, Scheduler, Check-in, Check-out, Clinic Receptionist, Medical Secretary and Medical Records.
• Greet patients and visitors promptly, screen visitors and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Check-in patients, copy insurance cards, verify demographics and balances.
• Assist by answering a multi-line phone system and route calls as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments in EPIC and follow scheduling policies.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and lobby.

The Float Receptionist travels to rural clinics as well as the metro Oklahoma City area to assist with coverage for the physician clinics. Great opportunity to learn from a variety of job functions from the various physician teams. Travel is required and mileage reimbursement when applicable.

• Float to clinic locations to fill in front office positions on an as-needed basis, including Operator, Scheduler, Check-in, Check-out, Clinic Receptionist, Medical Secretary and Medical Records following front office policies and procedures
• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Screen visitors/vendors and direct to appropriate personnel
• Check-in patients, copy front and back of insurance card(s) and verify and update necessary demographic information. Verify billing information and existing balances

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: One (1) year work experience in the medical front office setting preferred, not required; One (1) year experience with multi-phone system preferred; Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Working Knowledge: Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance; Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public; Ability to maintain quality control standards; Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
