Job summary

University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks a part-time Clerical Assistant for the Art Department to handle filing, data entry, documentation, correspondence, bookkeeping and special projects. You will also serve as the department receptionist and assist with the UMHB art gallery.

Greet visitors and help with art exhibits and events while coordinating with the Associate Dean of the Art Program. 25 hours per week; strong organizational skills and commitment to the University’s Christian mission are

Qualifications

  • Active and committed Christian supporting the University mission.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • At least 2 years of clerical experience; art/gallery preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office for Windows.
  • Proficient with general office equipment.
  • Strong time management and detail-orientation.
  • Agreement with University Employee Statement of Understanding.

Job description

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.

Responsibilities

Performs assigned clerical tasks to include filing, data entry, documentation, correspondence, bookkeeping and accomplishing special projects within the art department. Serves as the receptionist for the art department and UMHB art gallery. Greets visitors and assists with art exhibits and events.

Hours

25 hours per week to be coordinated with Associate Dean of the Art Program.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
  2. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  3. A minimum of 2 years clerical experience is required. Prefer experience in an educational or art gallery environment.
  4. Competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  5. Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
  6. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  7. Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
