Job summary

Trinity Health's Saint Joseph Health System seeks a part-time receptionist for Simonton Lake Family Medicine. You will perform clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account functions in the ambulatory care setting, helping coordinate primary health care services for a large outpatient population.

Education: high school diploma preferred; 1–2 years ambulatory care experience; familiarity with medical terminology and basic billing, cashiering, filing, telephone and computer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account functions in the ambulatory care setting. Assists in coordinating primary health care services to a large outpatient client population.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

Education: High school graduate or equivalent is preferred. Previous training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred. Proficient and knowledgeable of medical terminology is preferred, but not required.

Experience: One to two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience may include cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations.
