Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Plymouth, IN is seeking a part-time administrative professional for the day shift. You will perform clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account tasks in the ambulatory care setting and assist in coordinating primary health care services for a large outpatient population.

Preferred: high school diploma, 1–2 years in ambulatory care, and basic medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in an ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not required.

JOB SUMMARY Performs clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account functions in the ambulatory care setting. Assists in coordinating primary health care services to a large outpatient client population.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred.
• Proficient and knowledgeable of medical terminology is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One to two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
• Experience may include cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations.
