Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking a friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our Tucson-area team. This role runs 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and supports visitors, calls, and administrative tasks within a behavioral health setting.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, two years’ experience on a multi-line switchboard (preferably in health care), and flexibility for occasional overtime. Join UHS for a stable career in a reputable health network.

Palo Verde Behavioral Health has a longstanding reputation for stability in mental health and substance use treatment, serving patients in and around Tucson since 1960. We offer individualized inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment programs for adults and adolescents.

The Receptionist is responsible for:

• Greeting and assisting all visitors
• Answering the phones and paging when needed
• Receiving and documenting incoming deliveries
• Processing incoming and outgoing mail
• Preparing weekday deposits and monthly statements for mailing
• Providing administrative departmental and project support as needed
• Other administrative duties.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferrable in a health care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.

Additional Requirements: Must have availability to work occasional overtime or flexible hours, if needed.
