Receptionist

Adept of Omaha is seeking a friendly, dependable Receptionist to join our team. In our long-term care, skilled nursing, and memory care community, the receptionist helps residents, families, and visitors feel welcome while supporting daily facility operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, communicates professionally, and stays organized while handling multiple responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Welcome residents, families, visitors, and vendors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
- Answer and transfer telephone calls, take accurate messages, and use the paging system as needed.
- Follow visitor sign-in procedures and promptly report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
- Maintain current facility contact information, department extensions, and authorized resident directories.
- Accept packages and authorized deliveries, notify recipients, and coordinate distribution.
- Accept resident and staff food deliveries and notify the appropriate staff promptly, including nursing or Dietary when resident dietary needs or storage requirements must be addressed.
- Assist designated staff with transportation scheduling, appointment updates, and communication about pickups, cancellations, and delays.
- Coordinate transportation details with nursing and transportation staff, including escort and mobility needs.
- Sort and distribute mail and assist with filing, copying, and other administrative tasks.
- Maintain an organized reception area and replenish office supplies.
- Protect resident confidentiality, privacy, and rights.
- Participate in required training and facility quality improvement activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
