Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Receptionist to join our detox and residential facility. You will greet visitors, manage phones, handle mail, and support daily operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in the treatment industry, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year experience in the treatment industry preferred.
If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety is required.
Strong communication, organization and multitasking skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability at all times.

Responsibilities

Greet, process, and direct visitors and answer questions.
Monitor phones, voicemail, and route calls and messages.
Handle incoming/outgoing mail and shipments (UPS, Amazon).
Maintain reception area inventory and cleanliness.
Maintain pharmacy copay log and record payments.
Perform administrative errands and other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

Perform all standard clerical duties (emailing, filing, photocopying, faxing, transcribing etc.)
Greet, process, and direct all facility visitors as necessary, and answer all visitor/ family questions
Monitor phones and voicemail, and route all calls and messages appropriately
Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, as well as all UPS and Amazon shipments
Maintain inventory and cleanliness of reception area, and re-stock office supplies as necessary
Maintain pharmacy copay log and record all payments
Perform administrative errands as necessary, and any other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma/ GED preferred
Min. 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability at all times
