Job summary

GEMCORE is actively seeking a Receiving Warehouse Associate in Hudson, OH to handle shipping, receiving, order fulfillment and facility maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Full-time schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:15 p.m.

– 9:00 p.m., with shift differential. GEMCORE offers medical/dental/vision insurance and ongoing training, with opportunities for advancement in a fast-growing healthcare distribution

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight to common and containerized carriers.
• Shipment verification of all packed stock.
• Recording amounts of materials received.
• Pick and pack stock using company standards.
• Prepare shipment labels for UPS, USPS and other carriers.
• Store, sort and place received stock on racks, shelves or bins.
• Prepare parcels for general mailing.
• Weighing and counting items for distribution.
• General cleaning in restrooms and warehouse areas.
• May be assigned facility maintenance duties.

GEMCO Medical, a well-established and growing healthcare distribution company shipping over 15,000 packages a day with detailed accuracy, has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for Receiving Warehouse Associate whose function includes shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and facility maintenance services.

• The warehouse is fully air conditioned in summer, heated in the winter.
• Clean environment: not dusty, dark, or dirty.
• No protective clothing required. Dress code is comfortable clothing (sneakers, t-shirts, jeans, etc. all acceptable)
• Full-time schedule available is Monday through Friday; 12:15 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (with shift differential).

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload freight to common and containerized carriers.
• Shipment verification of all packed stock.
• Recording amounts of materials received.
• Pick and pack stock using best practices and following company standards.
• Preparation of shipment labels for the delivery of packages by UPS, USPS and other common carriers.
• Store, sort and place all received stock on racks, shelves or in bins according to the locater system.
• Prepare parcels for general mailing.
• Weighing and counting items for distribution.
• Perform general cleaning functions (i.e. sweeping, dusting, mopping) in restrooms and warehouse areas.
• May be assigned facility maintenance duties as needed.

Key Requirements:

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk and stoop; kneel, crouch crawl, climb or balance.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
• Willingness to accept responsibility and work in a multi-task environment as part of a team.
• Ability to lift at minimum 50 pounds.
• Requires recognition of products by code, packaging and description.
• General math, computer and reading comprehension skills.
• “Reach” truck experience a plus.
