Job summary

Delaware Valley Floral Group (DVFG) is seeking a Receiving Supervisor in Augusta, GA to lead the Receiving team and coordinate daily workflows from unloading to put-away. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and safety while supporting high-volume periods and staff development.

The role requires 2+ years of supervisory experience in warehousing, strong Excel and warehouse system knowledge, and forklift/RF skills. This position is onsite with a standard Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3+ years of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in receiving, inventory, fulfillment, or related warehouse function preferred.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating labor in a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and warehouse management systems; Apprise experience preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
• Experience working with fresh flowers, perishables, or other temperature-sensitive products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Receiving team by providing direction, training, coaching, feedback, and the tools needed to meet departmental and individual goals.
• Oversee and participate in the receiving process, including unloading shipments, inspecting product, receiving into the system, using RF scanners, moving product, and completing put-away activities.
• Work alongside team members to help complete daily tasks and provide hands-on support during peaks or staff shortages.
• Coordinate daily workflow, staffing, schedules, and labor assignments based on workload and priorities.
• Ensure receiving and put-away activities are completed accurately and on time to support downstream operations.
• Monitor productivity, quality, accuracy, service, labor, and budget performance; address issues or improve results.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.
• Partner with management to communicate staffing needs and priorities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant work environment and safety standards.
