Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen division seeks a Receiving Manager to oversee receiving, putaway, inventory control, and sanitation in our distribution center. You will lead receiving staff, drive process adherence, and partner with warehouse leadership to support service and productivity goals.

The role requires ensuring accurate receipt, storage, rotation, and organization of product while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Join us to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Product received accurately and put away in designated rack locations
• Placards attached to all pallets before putaway
• Pick lanes packed out to capacity and open cases available for order builders
• No double-stacked pallets in racks
• No plastic remaining on first-level pallets (except water)
• All pallets on 2nd and 3rd rack levels properly wrapped (over 3 TI-HI)
• Staged pallets properly positioned in racks and not protruding more than 2"
• OCS deliveries received and put away; work area free of stray pallets
• Dry inventory consolidated and rotated daily
• Cooler inventory rotated using FIFO
• Freezer inventory rotated using FIFO
• Cooler products staged by date
• Freezer products staged by date
• Expired product identified, reported, and removed
• Upcoming expiration dates (within 21 days) communicated to management for allocation planning
• Receiving audits completed as scheduled
• Inventory aisle walk completed with manager (Wednesdays 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
• Slot maintenance completed and documented (Weekly Friday Requirement)
• Product locations verified and corrected as needed
• Overstock and reserve inventory properly slotted
• Bay door inspections/details completed
• MHE Binder completed and current
• Cold Chain Binder completed and current
• Rack storage standards maintained throughout warehouse
• Work areas inspected for safety concerns
• Damaged product scanned and purged at beginning of shift

Job Summary
