Job summary

East West Tea Company LLC in Eugene, OR is seeking a Receiving Supervisor to lead inbound receiving, dock management, and inventory accuracy within our Warehouse team. You will ensure traceability, GMP/CFR compliance, and timely put-away of RM, PKG, and returns, while driving KPI performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a receiving/warehouse role.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with direct supervision of receiving or warehouse staff.
  • High level proficiency in warehouse and inventory management systems; ERP experience; Excel.
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all inbound receiving operations including appointment scheduling, dock management, unloading, inspection, and counts for RM, PKG, and returns.
  • Ensures accurate and timely capture of carrier, vendor, part #, lot #, vendor lot, PO, quantity received, UOM, number of units, unit type, pallets, pallet type, BOL pick-up date, COA compliance, and damage on every receipt.
  • Manages nonconformance, over/short/damage (OS&D) reporting, and escalation to Quality and Inventory.
  • Manages hazmat inbound handling in compliance with applicable regulations and in coordination with Quality and Safety.
  • Oversees put away operations ensuring product is placed in correct, food-safe locations with full traceability.
  • Monitors inventory accuracy through cycle counts, location audits, and daily RM/PKG warehouse activities.
  • Manages hold-to-RES and disposition handoffs in coordination with Quality and Inventory teams.
  • Owns and drives performance against key receiving KPIs: receiving accuracy %, average unload time per delivery, total deliveries by RM/PKG/Empty Pallets, total pallets received, COA compliance rate, damage rate, and FTE labor utilization.
  • Generates quarterly stats summaries including deliveries per month, unload time per month, average unload time, pallets received per month, and RM/PKG split breakdowns.
  • Contributes to development of SOPs, work instructions, playbooks, and training materials.

East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Receiving Supervisor to join our Warehouse team!

The Receiving Supervisor will lead all inbound receiving, raw material and packaging warehouse operations, and inventory accuracy functions – ensuring every receipt is accurate, traceable, food-safe and put away on time. Overseeing the full receiving cycle – from appointment scheduling and dock management through unloading, inspection, lot/COA/expiry capture, system receiving, put away, and location accuracy. Ensures full traceability and compliance with GMP and CFR Part 111 requirements, maintains robust SQDCP metrics, and drives continuous improvement in dock-to-stock speed, receiving accuracy, and inventory integrity.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:
Receiving and Inbound Operations

  • Assures receiving and warehouse staff receive appropriate training including GMP's, Safety, Material Handling, Equipment, and job-specific modules
  • Tracks certifications, PIT, and training completion for all team members
  • Ensures all receiving operations comply fully with GMP's and CFR Part 111 Dietary Supplement Regulations
People, Policy and Organization
  • Creates and communicates work schedules to receiving and warehouse staff
  • Works with P&C on recruitment and employee relations issues including hiring, performance management, and employee development
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a receiving/warehouse role
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with direct supervision of receiving or warehouse staff
  • High level proficiency in warehouse and inventory management systems
  • ERP Experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
