Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Receiving Supervisor in Jacksonville, FL to lead daily receiving operations and ensure accurate merchandise receipt. The role demands hands-on supervision, coordination of inbound freight, and strict safety and procedure adherence.

You will guide a team, maintain accuracy, and address issues with the logistics team to keep flow efficient. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in distribution, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and WMS

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a distribution environment.
• Proficient in fundamentals of distribution management.
• Experience with a warehouse management system.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the receiving operations.
• Oversee the scheduling and receiving of all inbound freight.
• Ensure accurate and timely receipt of merchandise.
• Resolve problems with freight by contacting the Home Office Logistics Inventory Control representative.
• Coordinate inbound shipments to maintain efficient crossdock flow.
• Maintain safety compliance on forklifts, dock doors, lights and restraints.
• Enforce BJ's Routing and Packaging guidelines for inbound loads.
• Support safety programs and retraining of violations.
• Maintain 100% receiving accuracy and timely discrepancy investigations.
• Coach and develop team members to achieve department goals.
