Job summary

JCM Industries, located in Nash, Texas, is seeking a Receiving Material Expeditor to support production by moving, labeling and organizing materials such as gaskets, flanges, and hardware. The role helps maintain clean, safe work areas and efficient material flow across the plant.

You will read requests, operate forklifts or hand trucks, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure timely supply of parts and proper storage. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Knowledge of various metal grades, thicknesses, sizes.
• Knowledge of computer programs to include Word, Excel, label makers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Receives, unloads, and moves material within or near the plant, yard or work site.
• Reads material request(s) and/or follow oral instructions from Department Supervisors on which materials to move.
• Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and/or equipment.
• Loads and unloads material from delivery vehicles.
• Conveys material to and from storage or work sites to designated area, using a hand truck, forklift or other equipment.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination with the assistance of hand-operated crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move a load to a destination when needed.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand and/or power hoist.
• Cleans work area, machines, and equipment using a variety of products and/or equipment.
• Labels all material as required, including traceable items such as heat numbers, CE(v)’s, etc.
• Maintains clean and debris free plant yard
• Assists with loading and/or unloading full plate sheets
• Maintains part numbers and labels on all material racks to assist with inventory tracking
• Operates computer for inventory and recording purposes
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
